FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - VELLIES
01. WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?
We generally operate on a first come first serve basis. As your order rolls in, it is placed on a list. As to when we begin processing your order and get it shipped, is based on how many orders we have received in the same time frame and prior.
We can only give estimates as to when you may receive your order.Please note that vellie production only starts once payment is received!
02. HOW DOES SHIPPING WORK?
Door to door, We can courier straight to your home or office anywhere in South Africa with The Courier Guy (2-4 days) R140.00.
03. WHAT HAPPENS IF MY VELLIES DON'T FIT?
We work with standard UK sizes, we suggest that you go for the size you always wear, however our vellies are made with 100% full grain leather and leather being a natural material does stretch to fit, we cannot guarantee the fit because foot shapes are all different. If you need a different size, we will gladly exchange the vellies for you within 2 weeks after receiving your shoes. Shoes need to be in its original condition and packaging (to be sold again). If the shoes are worn or damaged we will not be able to exchange it. Courier costs will be for your account (paid by you).
04. HOW DO I KNOW MY SIZE?
We work with standard UK sizes. Take your standard UK size and order accordingly. We do NOT work in half sizes.
Our men's style vellies can be unisex, for the ladies we suggest you go one size down as the vellie sizes are made based on mens sizes, however this still depends on your foot shape, if you (ladies) have a broader foot it might be best to stick with the size you normally wear. We do however have a ladies vellies range the we can recommend for you.
05. HOW TO WALK IN MY VELLIES
It is normal if your feet hurt a little at first. We use 100% full-grain leather. The leather needs time to shape to your foot. Full grain, chrome tanned leather is soft and will take the form of you foot in no time. It usually only takes a few walking days (+/-2 days) to walk-in your vellies.
06. ESTIMATED WAIT TIME
2 - 4 Weeks.
We build most everything to order in the order that they arrive.
07. BASIC LEATHER CARE
We recommend using the Mark Of Legend™ Leather Balm. It is a leather conditioner that is neutral in colour and won’t change the original colour of the leather.
Leather/Hide food like Plush Hide Food will also work well. A waxed based leather conditioner that is neutral in colour.
DUBBIN - a wax product used to soften, condition and waterproof leather and other materials. The orange coloured dubbin will darken the full-grain leather slightly.
08. TERMS FOR ORDERING
If for any reason you are NOT satisfied with the QUALITY of the product we are delivering, we will REPLACE your product if it is not a personalized item. The product will need to be in its original condition.
Please note that you are responsible for providing the correct information regarding the product you buy. Whether it is the correct leather belt measurement, bag measurement or vellie size and colour. You are responsible for any additional shipping that occurs due to incorrectly placed orders. We will gladly exchange if a different size is required.
Please note we do not do any REFUNDS!
